It’s hard to describe but you can feel the atmosphere in a school. When you walk in you can feel
whether a school will provide an environment in which your child will thrive. Each of my sons came
here and was successful in his own way. One of the reasons for this is that we make it a priority to
create the conditions in which young people will learn - a happy school.
As you will doubtless know we are a successful school but contrary to what you may think this is not an exam factory. Important though they are, exams are only a small part of a young person’s experience of school. Increasingly, we are asking our students about what matters to them and acting upon it. When you hear about our plans for a new curriculum and find out about PINC you will know what I mean and probably find yourself saying, “I wish we had that when I was in school!”
If you’d like to look around the school do give us a ring - we like to welcome visitors. We’d be proud to show you round and, if I can, I’ll take you myself so that I can tell you about the things I’ve alluded to above. It really is an exciting time to be at Alsager School and I’m confident that you’ll feel able to trust us with your child’s future.
